I haven't had a whole lot of time lately to play X3:TC. I've been letting it run overnight and while I'm at work, but I've had very little time to actually sit down and play.

I've got a couple complexes selling space fuel and space weed. They're making me plenty of money.

I've also got a couple factories making energy cells. They aren't making me much money, but they're improving my relations with the neighbors.

All of that is happening while I'm away from my game. So I've got good standing with everyone, and plenty of money, but no time to do anything with it.

I'm wanting to start on the hub missions... You get your own sector of space, which you can connect to any other sectors that you want. Sounds pretty nifty... But it also sounds like it requires a good bit of time and effort to make it happen.

This game sounds like something i could get lost in, the youtube videos don't give it justice and nothing else i can seem to find explains it properly.. In a few words could you sum it up? It is space management, space ship combat?
@danblu3 It's a sandbox-style game, set in space. You can basically do whatever you want.

There are several large storylines that you can work your way through. There are lots of random missions you can do. Or you can just do your own thing.

You can trade resources to earn money - buying and selling what people need.

You can build your own stations and produce goods for sale.

You can go hunt pirates, or Xenon (killer robot ships) just for the fun of it.

Or you can turn pirate yourself and steal cargo and ships.

You can fly around in a quick little fighter, or a giant capital ship.

You can do everything yourself, or build up a giant fleet of ships to do your bidding.
