Overlord II continues to amaze and entertain.
I've taken over my first town... Sort of. I guess I have to track down all the citizens and either kill or enslave them to make it official. But that's a little time consuming and annoying, so I haven't done that yet.
I've got my red minions, which are just as useless and annoying as I remember them to be. They can't take a hit. Their fireballs don't do enough damage to be useful. But the game makes you take them so you can get past flaming barriers and stuff. I'd rather the game just made them useful, so I wanted to take them.
I've got a mistress, sort of. She's mostly just wandering around and telling me to upgrade our private chambers. Apparently there are a couple other mistresses you can get, too...
I captured a boat, and got to drive it around. You have to crew it with 10 minions, and then you can actually get in and sail around. And any extra minions you have will stand up on deck with you to defend the ship.
I sailed off to the elven lands and got myself shipwrecked on some spider-infested island. The spiders are downright icky. I had to kill some ferocious pandas. I've located some greens, but I haven't managed to liberate their hive yet. And that's where the frustration comes in.
You have to take control of a green and lead them through some kind of stealthy obstacle course. And I'm doing mostly OK with that... Except that there's an enemy who won't move, and he's completely blocking the path ahead of me.
I'm thinking I probably missed something, that I probably don't have to go this way, that there's probably some other way to go around him. But I tried and tried and tried for over an hour last night and I can't find anything else.
And, of course, nobody on any forum is complaining about the same issue. Looks like I'm especially stupid.
