Olvel played Overlord II

Just recently got back from a crappy business trip and I was looking for some way to let off some steam. What better way than to lead an army of evil against the peaceful towns above?

I was holding off on buying this game... Kept looking for a .torrent to download it somewhere. I figured I'd probably wind up buying it eventually, but the demo was awfully short and I didn't want to wind up regretting my purchase.

But I got sick of waiting for a .torrent to show up... And I thoroughly enjoyed the original game... Plus it was only $39.99 on Steam... So I went ahead and bought it.

Terrific game.

The gameplay is almost identical to the original. Left-click to send out your minions... Right-click to call them back... Both buttons to sweep them around... They still pick up weapons and armor from the environment. They still look hilarious attacking people.

There have been some changes and updates though... The graphics are much improved. The minions are far more detailed and interesting. They can mount animals as well - your brown minions can ride wolves into battle. Your castle is much more interesting... Seems bigger, seems to be more to do there.

It still has the same sense of humor - a mix of slapstic and dark comedy.
