Olvel played Alien Swarm

Alien Swarm continues to frustrate me.

I'd really like to play it. It looks like a solid game. The little taste I've gotten was fun. But I just cannot find a decent game.

I was actually able to connect into the lobby of a game about once out of every five attempts last night.

Once I made it into the lobby, the game failed to start about half the time. Maybe the host got bored and left... Maybe I got booted... Whatever.

I actually made it into four total games last night. Two of them ended prematurely.

The first one ended when my computer froze for a few moments and then I was looking at the main menu again. I'm not sure if I got dropped, or if something happened to my network connection, or what.

The second one ended when the host got himself killed, and then simply dropped out of the game. I'm not sure if the game should have been transferred to someone else, or if it is really supposed to throw you back out to the menu. But that's what it did.

I spent a good couple of hours trying to play Alien Swarm, and I only actually managed to complete 2 games. Very frustrating.

The two games were fun. I earned some experience. I saw a new level that I'd never seen before.

But it took me forever to get into those two games. Very, very frustrating.
